I used the phone rigorously for about 10 days and the phone lasted one full day very easily on a single charge. Just like the performance, the battery life that the Ultra delivers is excellent. There are a couple of third-party apps that the phone comes installed with some apps which can be removed if needed. Software-wise, the smartphone runs on Samsung’s One UI 5.1 skin based on Android 13, which is pretty easy to use and doesn’t come with unwanted ads or bloatware. The Galaxy S23 Ultra also comes with improved speakers when compared to its predecessor. Be it switching between apps or scrolling mindlessly through social media platforms like Instagram or Twitter, the Galaxy S23 Ultra doesn’t lag at any point in time. However, long gaming sessions heat up the phone sometimes, but it also cooled down pretty quickly. I played Asphalt 9 on the Ultra and it ran smoothly and at no point did the phone lag. Considering how powerful the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor is, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is great for multitasking as well as gaming. I used the Galaxy S23 Ultra as my daily driver for nearly 10 days and absolutely loved using it. The Ultra comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The company calls the customised chip "Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform for Galaxy" and says that it delivers better performance. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which Samsung says has been customised to deliver more power. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra performance and battery Portrait selfies are what I liked the most and that’s because the camera blurs the background pretty well and the edges also turn out to be quite sharp. The phone often tends to beautify selfies, but you can always opt out of filters and click photos in normal mode. I have the same to say about selfies clicked in good light. Low-light front camera performance has also improved quite a bit. The good thing is the enhanced noise reduction technology helps with photos clicked in tricky lighting and the photos do not show much noise. Photos clicked in limited lighting appear with pretty good details and also accurate colours. The front camera can now capture RAW photos and record HDR10+ video.Įven in low light, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra does a great job. On the front, the phone includes a 12-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. There’s the new Astro Hyperlapse mode as well for capturing star trails. Samsung says there's an enhanced noise reduction technology that helps reduce noise in videos recorded in low light. ![]() The smartphone also features a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, a 10-megapixel telephoto (with 3X optical zoom), and a 10-megapixel telephoto (with 10X optical zoom). The smartphone offers a quad rear camera system consisting of the newly introduced 200-megapixel sensor called the ISOCELL HP2, which Samsung claims combines 16 pixels into one larger pixel and produces brighter shots in low light. The Galaxy S22 Ultra camera is fantastic, but the one on the latest Galaxy S23 Ultra is even better. Another good thing is that even under harsh sunlight, around 70 per cent brightness works very well and the screen looks quite bright. This means you will love consuming content on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The visuals in most situations look punchy and sharp. I watched multiple YouTube videos and movies on Netflix and browsed social media and in all situations, the Galaxy S23 Ultra offered great performance. As for performance, the Ultra offers a great viewing experience. Now, as I already said, one needs to use the phone with both hands, especially people like me with smaller hands. The Ultra offers a large screen unlike its younger siblings – Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus. ![]()
